The vibrant and busy bottom end of James Street is home to many popular retail and café outlets; a high street within Brisbane. The landscape design for the street is reflective of its lively surrounds, providing shelter and softness for people passing.
With coverage from the large overhead figs, the bottom end of James street supports a lush mixture of subtropical plant varieties that climb and spread across the surrounding structures. The various spaces throughout the bottom of James street are designs that JFP’s Landscape Architects have produced with consideration of its users, the context of the landscape and the energy that James street has.
In conjunction with the upper James Lane landscape design, Centro James Street aims to provide spaces for people to relax within, while still being able to circulate and become immersed in the lively culture of the high street.
