Being located on a prominent site, at the base of a hill close to the busy Toowong Village Shopping Centre, the project lent itself to a high quality residential development over 8 storeys.
Working alongside Ellivo Architects, JFP was able to produce a high quality development proposal for lodgement and approval by Brisbane City Council. The design was prepared to maximise the height and bulk achievable on site, while still acknowledging the character of the local area and the recent Neighbourhood Plan.
JFP’s ability to work as part of a project team saw complex site issues and constraints, such as the incorporation of the stormwater systems into a highly visible area of the site, being solved in a creative and efficient way.
By providing a high quality design outcome and input from JFP’s Planners, Council was able to support the proposal in a timely and efficient manner, exceeding the Client’s expectations.
This project highlights JFP’s ability to work in combination with other consultants in a professional and efficient way and represents a major development in the ongoing evolution of Toowong.
