New Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme – Get Involved NOW!

Sunshine Coast Council has commenced preparation of the new town planning scheme which will help shape development on the coast over the next two decades. The new planning scheme is scheduled for completion in 2024. As part of this process, Council has prepared initial statements of overall vision and planning directions for the Sunshine Coast and is now seeking community feedback by 31 March 2022.  Formal community consultation will occur once the draft planning scheme has been prepared, but much of the planning direction will be set by then.

So, now is the time to get involved and ensure that your voice is heard regarding future planning for the coast. It is also a good time to consider whether your land would be better suited for a different zoning in the future planning scheme!
