On Yer Bike
A group of 15 JFP people, family and friends rode from Moore to Esk (~46kms) along the Brisbane Valley Rail trail on Sunday 12th September.
Starting early in the day, the group was entertained immediately on riding by the site of a Director peddling for his life right off the trail while being relentlessly swooped by a local Magpie. When another rider went down soon after, things were looking shaky, but blessed with glorious weather, a breeze at their back and regular visits by their Beagle mascot in a support vehicle, the group bravely rode on and enjoyed passing through the Harlin Tunnel and along the trail, with a pleasant stop in Toogoolawah, before finishing up in Esk.
The sense of achievement on reaching the finish line was very satisfying for all, as was the pub meal and drinks at the Grand Hotel for some soon after.
