Keeping an Eye on Bridgeman Downs

Brisbane City Council has recently commenced a new Neighbourhood Plan for the suburb of Bridgeman Downs.  Much of the suburb is currently zoned Rural, but is well located to a range of services, major roads and recreational facilities, supporting a review into the future strategy and potential for the area.

Bridgeman Downs is located within the SEQ Regional Plan’s Urban Footprint area.  It is also one of the last significant greenfield locations in Brisbane.  The delivery of a workable and balanced Plan for the suburb will be crucial to ensuring future land supply in Brisbane’s North.

There are a number of steps to the preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan and its final adoption is not anticipated until early 2022.
