JFP’s Innovations Get the Green Banner

Safety is an absolute priority when working in unique industrial environments such as Queensland Alumina’s (QAL’s) plant in Gladstone, Central Queensland. That’s why we are very proud to have been the subject of three Green Banners issued by QAL recently.

Green Banners are Safety Notices from QAL which highlight positive improvements, learnings and initiatives to all working on the Alumina plant. The three recent notices highlight how JFP has introduced innovative Survey methods that improve Safety while also achieving improved data collection.

The innovations introduced include using:

• A Remote-Controlled Depth Sounding Boat to survey on site dams;
• Remotely Piloted Aircrafts (RPA) to capture stockpile data;
• A TruePulse 200x Rangefinder to measure through areas where Alumina Dust may be present.

JFP’s long term experience of working in unique industrial installation such as QAL’s Alumina plant allows us to have a great feel for what innovative technologies may be appropriate to use to improve safety in these challenging environments.
