CQ School Students Get to Experience Working With all Sorts of Interesting Equipment

JFP Urban Consultants Central Queensland (CQ) office has hosted a number of Work Experience students over the last few months. The students have had some real-life experience of working as Surveyors and Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafters.

The students spent 1 week each with our experienced CQ staff and were shown various high tech. field surveying equipment such as Total Survey Stations, Global Positioning Stations (GPS), Remotely Piloted Aircraft (aka Drones) and office software including the 12D Civil Design package, AutoCAD (Drafting), Pix4D (Photogrammetry) and Global Mapper (Geo-referenced Information System; GIS).

We hope that the students learnt a lot from their time and that they are inspired to become the next generation of Surveyors from Central Queensland.
