ZUPP INNOVATION PARK

Zupp Business Park saw the redevelopment of a dilapidated site from the 1990s. JFP’s Landscape Architects were tasked by Zupp Property Group to work with a multi-disciplinary team to complete the refurbishment of the building and surrounding landscape after nearly 20 years since the development of this site started. The existing building had been left half-finished and abandoned. The design team’s focus was turning this forgotten space into a vibrant and innovative centre to inspire and set a precedent as a flagship development of a proposed multi staged business and commercial precinct in Ormeau.

JFP’s vision for the site was to create a space that invited innovation by encouraging the users to interact and be a part of the landscape while maintaining clear direct pedestrian links through the site accommodating both daily use and special events. The aim was to provide a variety of experiences that encouraged interaction within the space while also providing dynamic views from the overlooking offices and tenancies.

The design focused on achieving a balance between soft and hard elements within in the landscape using a high standard of finishes, textures and materials as well as subtropical planting to provide a lush, calm retreat within the central courtyard.
