  • Improved usability of the park infrastructure

JFP has worked alongside Toowoomba Regional Council Landscape Architects to develop a masterplan for Wilsonton Heights Park from Concept to Construction documentation.
The park was designed to provide recreational facilities for the local community to encourage a healthy outdoor lifestyle for all ages.

JFPs Landscape Architects were involved in taking a Council concept masterplan for the park to a detailed masterplan to be built over several stages; with detailed estimation involved to ensure that the park would meet strict funding budgets. Facilities such as, circulation pathway network, shelters, community oval, nature playground, carparking and public art were all integrated into the design for the park.
JFP also worked in consultation with the local aboriginal community to create public art to sit amongst native tree groves throughout the park; reflecting the stories of the local indigenous community.
Being located along a drainage channel, the site posed many challenges. JFP Engineers were responsible for ensuring that the design of all park facilities, such as sewer and carpark design, were the most cost-efficient solutions possible.
