A significant feature of this project was JFP’s negotiation and coordination with multiple authorities to optimise infrastructure solutions. This included determining an efficient alignment for ~1km of external trunk gravity sewer mains and facilitating the relocation of a high-pressure gas main to enable essential road access. These works were critical in meeting project timelines and minimising costs. The project’s feasibility was also contingent on securing operational works approval for street tree management—an outcome made possible through JFP’s strong working relationship with Council, Construction Contractors and our cohesive internal collaboration.

JFP’s Arboricultural consultants played a key role by developing a detailed methodology for tree protection and removal within the public streetscape. Working in tandem with our Engineers, they ensured compliance with council expectations while maintaining the integrity of the design. This balanced approach enabled smooth approvals and practical outcomes on site.

This project highlights the value of early engagement with service authorities and showcases JFP’s ability to navigate complex infrastructure challenges while prioritising client outcomes. Furthermore, By adapting to shifting conditions on site — such as weather impacts, design refinements and contractor changes—JFP demonstrated its ability to support the momentum of the construction schedule while upholding quality and safety. The project is a strong example of how our integrated, responsive approach supports successful infrastructure delivery in complex urban environments.
