RIO TINTO ALUMINA YARWUN

Rio Tinto Alcan Yarwun is a world class alumina refinery situated ten kilometres north-west of Gladstone in Central Queensland. The refinery has the capacity to produce 3.4 million tonnes of alumina per annum and creates employment for more than 700 people. JFP have continuously provided surveying services for this refinery since it began production in 2005. Some of the surveying services provided on the project, include;

Of great importance on a major industrial site such as the refinery, JFP’s survey methods have a sharp focus on safe operations. As an example, JFP uses state of the art technologies, such as UAV/Drones and Water-borne Survey Vessels to confirm volumes for bauxite and coal stockpiles, the caustic bladder and tailings dams on site. JFP’s long-term provision of services to Rio Tinto refinery confirms its ability to provide accurate, timely information, safely on world-class industrial facilities.
