JFP’s long history with the Cannon Hill Anglican College stems from the 1980s. Over the last few years CHAC has substantially expanded its Junior School. JFP has worked alongside PW Architecture to master plan and design the expansion precincts.
The challenges of developing a new school adjacent to the creek that runs through the site meant JFP was also required to work closely with BCC to design and manage revegetation of the creek corridor. The interface with the creek was seen as an opportunity for the school to embrace and engage with the natural environment as much of the senior school does. Play and kick-about areas were designed to run right down to the creek and outdoor learning areas were developed whereby lessons could occur in this natural environment.
