Brisbane City Council (BCC) required a significant Survey to be undertaken as part of a new Bulimba Creek Flood Study. The Bulimba Creek Catchment, located in the City’s South East, covers an area which equates to approx 10% of Brisbane.

Survey data supplied to BCC consisted of the position of creek cross-sections, stormwater culverts and hydraulic structures. In total there were 222 creek cross sections, 13 stormwater culverts and 23 hydraulic structures surveyed across challenging terrain that required our Surveyors to get wet on a number of occasions.

A variety of Survey methods were utilised to complete these works, including robotic Total Stations and Satellite RTK surveys on foot plus a remote-controlled boat in deeper sections.

Our Surveyors skills were certainly tested in some areas but they were never found to be out of their depth.
