Continuing on with JFP’s involvement with the Gasworks precinct, the Aveo Retirement Living development is a multi-level retirement and aged care development, boasting a large rang of accessible podium landscape areas. The first of it’s kind building in SEQ caters for both independent and assisted living residents and those with greater independence.
JFP’s landscape architecture team has designed over 4000m2 of podium landscape over several levels bringing colour and contrast to the built form of the building, allowing connection to the Award Winning Gasworks Plaza.
Lower levels provide a variety of experiences and visual stimulus for resident with limited mobility. Level 5 provides a range of multi-function spaces for entertaining and exercise with a full sized bowling green and putting green, as well as BBQ’s, custom seating and custom shelters to compliment the internal communal facilities.
The Aveo development is a wonderful example of JFP’s ability to design complex podium landscape while meeting the varied needs of a specific user group.
