Gasworks located on Skyring Terrace within the Newstead Riverpark development, is a relaxed business and commercial environment set within a comfortable, sub-tropical setting.
JFP has been able to provide landscape design to the building forecourt and surrounds which connects to both street frontages and the adjacent retail and civic Gasworks precincts to the East.
JFP’s role as Landscape Architect for the project also involved master planning to create one larger, cohesive space for the Gasworks development as a whole. This involved coordination and collaboration with the Client, Project Architect and other sub-consultants to provide seamless connections between each precinct while still maintaining individuality, variety and choice.
Being on the western side of the development, JFP saw the need, and the opportunity to develop the forecourt area as a calm, shaded retreat with lush planting that takes advantage of the shaded microclimate to create a distinct subtropical environment away from the more active civic spaces.
