Vale Fabian Salvati

JFP acknowledges with deep sadness the passing of our much-loved colleague and Director, Fabian Salvati, on 15 December 2026.

Fabian commenced with JFP on 5 December 1988, beginning a remarkable career that spanned nearly four decades. Throughout that time, he made an enduring and immeasurable contribution to the practice, to our Survey Team, and to the many people fortunate enough to work alongside him.

Fabian was widely respected for his exceptional surveying skills, his calm and thoughtful leadership, and his positive, friendly manner. He brought energy, generosity, and a sharp perspective to his work, earning the high regard of colleagues, clients, and industry peers alike.

Following a debilitating stroke on 4 July 2022, Fabian faced significant challenges with characteristic quiet strength. Even during this time, the impact of his mentorship, guidance, and example continued to be felt across the practice.

At Fabian’s memorial service, family and friends shared deeply touching anecdotes that spoke of the warmth, humour, loyalty, and kindness he showed in all aspects of his life. These reflections reminded us that the qualities so valued at JFP were an extension of the person he was beyond the workplace, and how profoundly loved and respected he was by those closest to him.

Fabian’s influence is deeply embedded in the culture and practices of JFP’s Survey Team and in the many careers he shaped through his encouragement and support. His legacy is one of professionalism, generosity, and genuine care for people, and it will continue to live on within JFP for many years to come.

He will be greatly missed.
